Another petrol tanker explosion nearly occurred to at Lakowe axis, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos as a fuel-laden truck fell and spilled its content on the road.
Fortunately the accident did not result to a fire incident because there was no fire source around the scene that could have aided an explosion.
As at the time of filing this report, the tanker is still on the road, as well as its content.
Pulse recalls that two separate tanker explosion incidents occurred within days interval in Lagos this week – one at Iyana Ipaja and the other at Idimu areas of the state.
Following the incessant occurrence of tanker explosions, the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Saturday, June 6, summoned tanker drivers and stakeholders to an emergency meeting scheduled for tomorrow, June 8, where a way forward from such disasters is expected to be discussed extensively.
