The Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja was on Friday, June 5, robbed.
According to Vanguard, armed robbers stormed the Ministry’s Account Department through the roof, in the early hours of Friday and left with N3 million.
Insiders said the fund, which was meant to offset the allowances of about 40 ad-hoc staffers working as mediation officers for the ministry, was brought in at the close of work on Thursday and kept in one of the offices.
No arrests were made inspite of the security officers attached to the ministry.
It was gathered that about 20 civil servants and security officers attached to the department have been detained by the Alausa Police Station.
