Former Governor Charles Soludo of Central Bank of Nigeria and former governor Kayode Fayemi were spotted on Monday evening, September 21, at the Aso Rock Villa.
According to the Punch, he was seen signing the visitors’ register on his way to the office of the chief of staff to the president, Alhaji Abba Kyari, around 5.30 pm.
However, it’s unclear whether or not Soludo was able to see President Muhammadu Buhari. As around that time, the president was reportedly concluding work on the list of ministerial nominees he is going to send to the National Assembly before the end of September.
Soludo used to served asCBN governor under the administrations of Olusegun Obasanjo andUmar Yar’Adua, but this June he said he was not interested in working for Buhari’s government. He said he was involved with some think-tank groups and did not have time to work with the government.
Soludo criticized the Jonathan administration over the financial management of the economy. He accused it of supervising the leakage of N30 trillion from the system.
Former governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state was reportedly seen entering the COS’ office about 30 minutes after Soludo.
The two men waited for Kyari because he was in the president’s office when they entered the State House.
