International Audit Firms To Run Checks On The NNPC, Other Agencies

As part of efforts to cut down corruption across major sectors of the economy, the Federal Government has appointed international audit firms to run checks on key agencies of the nation.

KPMG and PriceWaterhouse Cooper (PWC), specifically, have been assigned the tasks of auditing accounts at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), as well as other key parastatals of the economy.

This was disclosed by Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole at the close of a meeting held by the National Economic Commission (NEC).

The Federal Government appointed these audit firms given their track records and the need for topnotch checks on the accounts in question.
