Each of Manchester City stars will lose a whopping sum of N145m (£500,000) in bonuses if they fail to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
According to a Daily Mail report, there is a clause in the players contract which stipulates that the club will pay a huge bonus anytime they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Qualification for the Champions League according to the report, ensures the the club stay within financial fairplay requirements.
They City stars will be making sure they don’t lose that bonus as they are set to face Manchester United in a derby.
Manuel Pellegrini‘s men are currently in fourth position but a win against their neighbors will see them to third.
The top three finishers in the Premier League qualify automatically for the Champions League with the fourth-place team required to win a qualifying round to join them.
