Nigerian Military Kills 2 Suicide Bombers In Borno

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters on Friday said two suicide bombers leading a band of terrorists were killed, in a repel attack by the military in Shetimari in Borno State.

In a statement by the Director, Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade in Abuja he said the insurgents died as troops succeeded in repelling the terrorists attack Thursday evening.

He added that over 12 rifles, a machine gun, rocket propelled grenades and bombs were recovered from the terrorists group

Olukolade said that the troops conducting mopping up operation were still combing the area while others are in pursuit of those who are on the run.

Meanwhile in response to President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive that the Command and Control Centre of the DHQ should be relocated to Maiduguri, the Director of Defence Information, Maj Gen. Chris Olukolade said the military is working round the clock to implement the relocation within the shortest possible time.
