After Spanish captain Sergio Ramos missed a penalty against Croatia, fans have voted Andres Iniesta for taking spot-kicks.

In a poll conducted by Marca where fans were asked who should take penalty kicks, the Barcelona midfielder had an overwhelming victory over Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Ramos.


Iniesta ganered 40.52%, Fabregas had 18.54% and the Real Madrid defender had just 9.84% of the votes.

The veteran’s last penalty for the national team was an Euro 2106 qualifier against Slovakia last September when he sent the keeper the wrong way to put Spain ahead.
